How do you pick a cheap lock?

I lost the key to my diary, but it’s one of those dinky little diary locks. Can anyone tell me how to pick the lock in detail?

Brini October 15, 2009 at 11:30 am: Well, I had a cheap lock once and I took all the cotton off of a q-tip and picked the lock. It worked after a while, but was a little complicated. As the other lady said use any small keys or a bobby pin. Hope you succeed. Thanks!
dam October 15, 2009 at 11:30 am: if u have lost the key for ur lock….then try all the keys u have to open the lock…..if u have not found it out yet…..the best way is to try ur hair pin into it….i guess i am right …for ur question….i dont understand ur question
Alec T October 15, 2009 at 11:30 am: just go to youtube.com and search how to pick lock. and you should be able to find a great video. i did this before and it is very easy just don’t pick my stuff haha.
