Lock picking is not always successful. There are a lot of kinds of lock picks, but most people prefer a raker pick. You just slide the raker pick in and out repeatedly and hope you can get all the pins in the right position. You also need a tension wrench, which is just a little metal thing used to turn the cylinder like turning a key.
"This is a practical book but hard work and requires practice. Worth reading if you have a real interest in locks and will practice. Not for beginers; I bought this book first then came back to it." -Stuart Gardner
"Having purchased similar books with varying degrees of satisfaction I easily rate this the highest. The text and pictures are independently useful and very complimentary. Its hard to call a book on lockpicking a must-read, but this should be a foundation for any learning of the subject."
