even an idiot can see that he’s straining to either side to put tension on the lock, watch carefully, listen for the clicks, a pair of ears and a brain might help…

got it! works great. kizer4444′s explanation is exactly right. you put tension on the end and turn the numbers. when you hear a click that’s louder than the rest, you have one number set.

I get it he is pulling on both ends to cause tension and the little locks on the inside end make a clicking sound when it hits inside makeing a click so the code is set to random but by pulling on it and switching the numbers at the same time it hits inside makeing a click……that made no sense but owell
